On October 18th 2021, the President of the Eurometropole Pia Imbs came to inaugurate the 20th station of the Elsass Recharge network, in Oberhausbergen. Following the commitment made in April 2020 to deploy 90 charging stations in the Eurometropole of Strasbourg, a new announcement was made today: a significant increase in the number of charging points and investments will be made.
In addition to the 90 planned charging stations, between 160 and 410 additional stations will be added in two stages:
- The aim of this increase is to bring 250 charging points - 500 charging points for electric vehicles - to users in the Strasbourg Eurometropolis territory by the end of 2025.
- A potential additional deployment, to be confirmed annually, should add 250 charging points - a total of 1,000 charging points - by 2026.
Vehicle users will be able to use the Freshmile Pass and the Freshmile application to find the charging stations, check their availability in real-time and charge their vehicle. Thanks to Freshmile's interoperability agreements, the charging points will also be accessible to other mobility operators.
